1. About this policy
Edite is operated by Creative Plane Pty Ltd (“Edite”, “we”, “us”, “our”), 40 Oxford St, Collingwood VIC 3066, Australia. Creative Plane Pty Ltd is the entity responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use, and disclose your personal information when you visit editehome.com (the “Site”) or join our waitlist.
Edite is currently in a pre-launch phase, and the Site is available to visitors in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.

2. What we collect
When you join the Edite waitlist, we collect the information you provide in the signup form:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Renovation stage (your selection describing the project your Edite bathroom will be part of)
We also collect limited technical information automatically when you use the Site, such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the Site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies — see section 6 below.
Some of the providers who hold and process this information for us are located outside your country of residence — see section 5.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (such as health, financial, or government identifiers), and we ask that you do not submit it through the Site.
3. How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- Add you to and manage the Edite waitlist
- Send you updates about Edite, including news about our launch, products, and early access opportunities
- Build advertising audiences so we can reach you, and people with similar interests, with Edite advertising on platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok — see section 6. Some United States privacy laws treat this activity as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising, and you can opt out of it at any time — see sections 6 and 9
- Understand interest in Edite across our markets, including analysing waitlist signups in aggregated or de-identified form to inform business and product decisions
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site
- Comply with our legal obligations
We only send you marketing communications where you have opted in via the signup form. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using that link or emailing privacy@editehome.com.
4. Who we share your information with
We do not exchange your personal information for money. Some United States privacy laws define “sale” and “sharing” more broadly than this, and our use of advertising audiences may fall within those definitions — section 9 explains this and how to opt out.
We share your personal information only with service providers who help us operate the Site and communicate with you:
- HubSpot — our customer relationship management and email platform, which hosts the waitlist data you submit
- Shopify — our eCommerce and website platform
- Google (Google Analytics 4) — website analytics
- Meta and TikTok — advertising and measurement services, via pixels on the Site and, if you have joined our waitlist, through matched advertising audiences (see section 6)
These providers are only permitted to use your information to provide services to us. We may also disclose personal information where required by law, or in connection with a restructure or transfer of the Edite business (in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information).
5. Overseas disclosure
Our service providers store and process personal information outside your country of residence. This means that if you are in Australia or New Zealand, your personal information will be disclosed to recipients overseas. Based on our current arrangements with those providers, your personal information may be stored or processed in the following countries:

We will update this section if these arrangements change.
Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, including by imposing privacy obligations on our service providers by contract that are broadly equivalent to those that apply to us.
6. Cookies, tracking and advertising audiences
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies:

You can manage cookies through your browser settings, and you can decline non-essential cookies using the cookie controls on the Site. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising through:

- Meta: your Facebook/Instagram ad preferences
- TikTok: your TikTok ad settings
Your Privacy Choices. You can opt out of the use of your personal information for advertising audiences and targeted advertising — including any activity treated as a “sale” or “sharing” under United States privacy laws — at any time using the Your Privacy Choices link in the footer of every page of the Site. We also automatically recognise and honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by your browser or browser extension, and we will confirm on-screen once your choice has been applied. You do not need to create an account or verify your identity to use either mechanism. You can also opt out by emailing privacy@editehome.com.
Custom and lookalike audiences
If you join our waitlist, we may upload your email address, and no other waitlist information, to advertising platforms including Meta and TikTok in order to:
- show Edite advertising to you on those platforms (“custom” or “matched” audiences); and
- ask the platform to show our advertising to other people with characteristics similar to our waitlist (“lookalike” or “similar” audiences).
Before upload, your email address is hashed — converted into a scrambled code — so the platform can match it against its own user base without receiving your details in readable form. These platforms are only permitted to use the uploaded information to provide advertising services to us, and it is not made available to other advertisers. We collect this information directly from you; we do not obtain it from data brokers or other third-party sources.
If you opt out (using the Your Privacy Choices link, the GPC signal, or by emailing us), or if you ask us to delete your information, we will:
- exclude your details from all future audience uploads; and
- instruct Meta and TikTok to remove any record already matched to their systems from our audiences.
You can also control the advertising you see through your Meta and TikTok ad settings, linked above. Please note that opting out of our audiences does not delete any information those platforms hold about you independently of us.
7. How long we keep your information
We retain waitlist information while Edite is in its pre-launch and launch phases. If Edite does not proceed to launch, we will delete or de-identify waitlist data within 12 months of that decision. We will otherwise retain your information for up to 24 months after your last interaction with us, unless a longer period is required by law. If you unsubscribe from communications or opt out of advertising audiences, we retain the minimum information necessary to honour that choice.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time — see section 9.
8. How we protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Your waitlist data is held in HubSpot, which maintains its own technical and organisational security measures. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
If you are in Australia
We handle your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting privacy@editehome.com. We will respond within 30 days.
If you have a complaint about how we have handled your information, contact us first and we will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
If you are in New Zealand
We handle your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ). You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information by contacting privacy@editehome.com. We will respond as soon as reasonably practicable, and no later than 20 working days after we receive your request.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy concern, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at www.privacy.org.nz.
If you are in the United States
Depending on the state you live in, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and how we use and disclose it;
- access a copy of that information, and in some states receive it in a portable format;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- ask us to delete your personal information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and of its use for targeted advertising; and
- not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
To make a request, contact us at privacy@editehome.com. You may use an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf, provided we can verify their authority. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the period required by the law of your state (generally 45 days, which may be extended where permitted).
Sale, sharing and targeted advertising. We do not exchange your personal information for money. However, some United States state privacy laws define a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information to include disclosures made for other forms of benefit, and the advertising pixels and matched advertising audiences described in section 6 may fall within those definitions. You can opt out at any time using the Your Privacy Choices link in the footer of every page of the Site, by enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, or by emailing privacy@editehome.com. Section 6 explains what we do when you opt out.
Appeals. If we refuse a request to access, correct, delete, or opt out, we will tell you why. You may appeal that decision by emailing privacy@editehome.com with the subject line “Privacy appeal”. We will review the decision and inform you in writing of the outcome, and the reasons for it, within the period required by the law of your state (generally 45 to 60 days). If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Attorney-General or privacy regulator in your state to lodge a complaint.
Notice at collection. A short-form notice describing the categories of personal information we collect, the purposes we collect it for, and whether it is sold or shared is provided at the point of collection, on the waitlist signup form itself.
10. Children
The Site and our waitlist are not directed at individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@editehome.com and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on the Site, with the “Last updated” date shown at the top. If we make material changes to how we use your personal information, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by email or a notice on the Site.
